Mika

Meet Mika, a 5 year old version of me, according to teachers at Grace Christian Academy. She loves pink, she loves to randomly get out of her seat and start dancing, and stare at herself in the mirror. She loves to sing and she LOVES to roll her eyes. I love how when she's thinking she bites her lower lip and closes her eyes really tight before she answers a question. She is always telling me about her favorite Disney Princess, and she is constantly drawing Cinderella or Snow White on her papers. She is always encouraging me when I write in cursive on the board. She says, "Miss Caitlin that is great I can tell you have been practicing."

Tahitian Dancers

Every Thursday night Street Market is the happening place in Saipan, where there is everything from crazy foods, like cooked squid, to jewelry, and even some tahitian dancers!!!

Thank You!!!

Thank you so much to all those who donated, and helped out! The kids LOVED opening the boxes filled with school supplies, and goodies! The teachers are so excited to have extra supplies, and prizes to treat the kids with! It was such a blessing! The kindergarten class also says thank you to everyone who helped out too :)

Deancey

Deancey is my most unorganized, off task child in the class. Yet at the same time he is so loving, and kind hearted in the class. He loves to help others, and push in their chairs without being asked. When he's excited about finishing his work he will raise his arms up, and scream "I AM DONE MISS!" He is always smiling, and he never complains.

Grace

This is Grace. She is the "mom" of the class. She loves to
help out the other students when I can't help the other kids. She loves giving hugs, and she loves to ask me when my "baby in my tummy" is coming out so she can play with it. The picture picture below is her at the art show she won. Her fish picture wash chosen out of all the kindergartners on the island to be printed in the school calendar for next year! She was so proud!

Pacific Island Club

Today I went to the Pacific Island Club Resort with my roommates Kelly, Sarah, and Jennifer! We got to eat lunch at the buffet and then enjoyed time in the lazy river, and relaxing in the sun!
There are the coolest tree's here too!

Favorite Things

Here are a few things my class has told me that I have to share with all of you:

"My class today asked me when the baby in my tummy would be coming out. They then proceeded to come up and feel my tummy and told me they could feel the baby kicking"

"Teacher, you cannot go home until the snow stops snowing in States, because I do not want you to get stuck in a snowball"

"I was writing cursive on the chalkboard and the class was throwing a fit because I didn't do it the "correct" way. Then a student started crying saying the class needed to stop making fun of me. The students then proceeded to tell me how great my S looked, my T was gorgeous, and my A was outstanding. Then one student said, Teacher your T is beautiful but your D is very very ugly"

"Teacher, why does your hair always have to be so high? Were you born that way?"

Yes my students have made me smile throughout the weeks, and I am loving every minute of it!

Matthew

This is Matthew, and he is probably the best reader in the class. He was able to read before he even entered Kindergarten. Every time he reads, he uses just great expression, that I can't help from laughing every time! He is so stinking cute!

Saipanda

Meet Saipanda!
It's the official tourist mascot for Saipan. There are places to get your picture with the Saipanda all over the island. The name "Saipanda" is similar with two Japanese words, sai=rhino, and then you have panda which you all know is the black and white bear. They then created this crazy creepy cute rhino panda hybrid. I LOVE panda's and had to get my picture with the famous Saipanda, so I found the biggest one on the island!
